Introduction

A project is a collection of processes and workflows. It contains a set of instructions for pulling data out of source systems and placing it into Target Systems. A project can be a simple workflow for email automation or can have embedded processes and workflows for mapping between two systems. Creating a project in DBSync Cloud Workflow is a straightforward process that enables you to organize your workflows and integrations effectively.

  • Adding Template: Utilize pre-built templates for various connectors and business processes.

  • Importing a Project: Import existing projects for reuse or modification.

  • Downloading or Sharing a Project: Export or share projects with others.

Actions

Quick-access controls: • Edit – Rename the project. • Add User – Invite additional team members. • Delete – Remove the project.

All actions respect role-based permissions.

Additional table features include:

  • Search Bar – Filter projects by keyword.

  • Pagination & Row Selector – Adjust how many projects display per page.

  • Column Sorting – Each numeric column supports click-to-sort for rapid triage.

Creating or Importing Projects

  • Create – Opens the New Project Wizard to build workflows from scratch.

  • Add Template – Imports a pre-built template directly into a new project, accelerating setup.

Project-Level Dashboard

Located at the top of the Project Page, this collapsible dashboard mirrors the look and feel of the Home-page metrics but is scoped to the currently selected project. The tiles Active Tasks, Total Runs, Successful Runs, Errored Runs, and Records Moved, update automatically to show project-specific data, helping you isolate issues without leaving the page.

Tip: Expanding the dashboard here allows you to drill into task-level logs for only this project, reducing noise from other workflows.

Create a Project

  1. Click Create provided on the Projects tile.

  1. Enter Project Name: A pop-up will appear prompting you to enter a name for your project. Choose a descriptive name that reflects the purpose of the project.

  1. Confirm Creation: Click Next to proceed with creating the project.

  2. Automation Tab: After creating the project, you will be redirected to the Automation tab by default, where you can define workflows and processes for your project.

The Automation tab is the dedicated command center for every automated workflow in a project. The Task tab focuses on activities that you or another user triggers manually while the Automation tab curates only those tasks that are automated. Click here to know more about the Automation tab.

  1. In the Automation tab, click Create to initiate the task creation process.

Adding a Template (Optional)

Utilize Pre-built Templates: If you want to add a pre-built integration template, navigate back to the Project tab.

  1. Click on Add Template: Select the Add Template provided on the Projects tile.

  1. Select and Add to Project: Choose the desired template from the list of available options and click Add to Project. Provide a name for the imported project and click Next.

  1. Configure the Integration and Set Up Workflow: You can configure the integration by choosing whether to integrate or merge applications or use your own application credentials.

  1. Modify Workflows: Click the Setup icon next to the workflow to run it or click Configure to modify the workflows as needed.

Importing a Project

To import a project in DBSync Cloud Workflow, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Desired Project: Navigate to the project you wish to import into.

  2. Access the Task Menu: Click on the drop-down menu next to Task.

  3. Select Import: Click Import from the drop-down menu.

  4. Browse or Upload: Choose to browse your local files or upload a project zip folder.

  5. Save the Project: Click Save to complete the import process.


Downloading or Sharing a Project

To download or share a project in DBSync Cloud Workflow, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Desired Project: Navigate to the project you wish to download or share.

  2. Access the Task Menu: Click on the drop-down menu next to Task.

  3. Select Create: Click Create from the drop-down menu to proceed with downloading or sharing the project.
