Learn how to use the JIRA Cloud Connector in DBSync Cloud Workflow

Overview

DBSync's JIRA Cloud connector is a highly customizable tool that enables seamless integration between your JIRA Software, jira cloud accounts, and other applications such as accounting, e-commerce platforms, and various CRM systems. With DBSync's JIRA Cloud connector, users can directly connect to Jira cloud, allowing them to query, add, and modify various types of records, including projects, customers, users, issues, and more. This connector utilizes the JIRA Software REST APIs to facilitate data movement into and out of JIRA Software and Jira cloud.

Prerequisites

To establish a connection to Jira Cloud via DBSync's JIRA Cloud connector, users must:

  • Have a valid license for the DBSync JIRA Cloud connector, as well as a username and password to connect to the DBSync iPaaS platform.

  • Have a valid username and password for Jira cloud.

  • Ensure that the JIRA user has administrative privileges to connect to the JIRA REST APIs.

Connector Configurations

A JIRA Cloud connector instance represents a single jira account, including login credentials. If a user wishes to connect to multiple instances of jira cloud, they must create a separate connection for each.

Once a connector is created within a project, it can be set up within a process. DBSync can then map data to and from virtually any system using the JIRA Cloud connector to retrieve data from or send data to JIRA Software or jira cloud. For more information, refer to our Connectors List.

The JIRA Cloud connector can be used to:

  • Integrate your CRM or ERP application with jira cloud, enhancing collaboration between various departments like HR, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to manage projects and measure performance.

  • Integrate JIRA Software with your Service Desk, giving your customers visibility into your ongoing product development and product roadmap.

Supported Versions

Only the following versions are supported:

  • JIRA Software 7.3.1 and above.

NOTE

Older versions may work but have not been tested with the JIRA Cloud connector.
