Learn how to use the ChannelAdvisor Connector in DBSync Cloud Workflow
Overview
The ChannelAdvisor Connector in DBSync Cloud Workflow enables seamless integration between ChannelAdvisor and various other platforms, helping businesses automate e-commerce workflows by syncing orders, inventory, products, and pricing data.
Prerequisites
Before setting up the ChannelAdvisor connector, ensure that you have:
An active DBSync Cloud Workflow account.
A ChannelAdvisor account with relevant permissions for API access.
The necessary ChannelAdvisor API credentials (Client ID, Client Secret, and Refresh Token).
Access to DBSync Integration Templates for ChannelAdvisor.
Setting Up ChannelAdvisor Connector
Obtain ChannelAdvisor API Credentials
Log in to your ChannelAdvisor Developer Console.
Go to My Applications and select Create New Application.
Configure the application to generate the Client ID and Client Secret.
Generate a Refresh Token by authorizing the application under API Access in your ChannelAdvisor account.
Configure the ChannelAdvisor Connector in DBSync
Log in to DBSync Cloud Workflow.
Go to Connectors > Add Connector.
Select ChannelAdvisor from the list of available connectors.
Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Refresh Token obtained in Step 1.
Choose the Default settings, or customize based on specific needs (e.g., Order status, Inventory sync frequency).
Map Fields
After setting up the connector, go to the Field Mapping section in DBSync.
Map ChannelAdvisor fields (e.g., Order ID, Product ID, Price, Stock) to corresponding fields in the target system.
For complex mappings, utilize DBSync’s Transformation Rules to format data as needed.
Set Up Workflows
Under Workflow Manager, create a new Workflow or edit an existing one.
Select ChannelAdvisor as the source or target endpoint.
Configure the workflow to specify data flow (e.g., pulling order data from ChannelAdvisor and pushing it to ERP).
Set Frequency and Conditions (e.g., sync only when stock updates occur).
Test and Deploy
After completing configuration, run a Test Sync to verify that data flows correctly between ChannelAdvisor and the target application.
Resolve any errors or mapping issues flagged during testing.
Once satisfied with the sync behavior, set the workflow to Active for automatic syncing.
