  3. Ensure your HubSpot account has API access privileges.

Setting Up the Connector

  1. Login: Use your DBSync iPaaS credentials to log in.

  2. Connect: On the HubSpot Connector detail page, click "Connect."

  3. You will be redirected to a HubSpot login popup.

  4. Authenticate: Enter your HubSpot email and password to authenticate.

By following these steps, you'll have HubSpot connected to DBSync in no time, allowing for seamless data synchronization and integration with your other platforms.

How to Grant API Access to HubSpot Objects

To ensure DBSync can read or write to specific objects in HubSpot (like Contacts, Deals, Companies, etc.), follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to HubSpot

  • Use an account with Super Admin or appropriate App Management permissions.

Step 2: Go to App Marketplace

  • Click on the gear icon (⚙️) at the top right to go to Settings.

  • In the left sidebar, scroll down and click Integrations > Connected Apps.

  • Search for the DBSync app (or the app you used for integration) and click on it.

Step 3: Review API Scopes

  • Click on the Permissions or Details tab for the connected app.

  • Make sure the necessary scopes are granted. For most DBSync use cases, you'll need:

    • crm.objects.contacts.read/write

    • crm.objects.deals.read/write

    • crm.objects.companies.read/write

    • crm.objects.custom.read/write (if using custom objects)

    • crm.schemas.custom.read (for metadata)

Step 4: Reconnect If Needed

If you made changes to the scopes or permissions:

  • Go back to your DBSync HubSpot connector.

  • Reconnect the account to refresh the token and permissions.

Step 5: Verify Access in DBSync

  • In DBSync, test a Read or Write action with the desired object.

  • If you see an error related to permissions, double-check the scopes and token expiration.
