Creating Web Services in Business Central

This guide outlines the process to create web services in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for various sales-related transactions. The web services will be prefixed with DBSync for seamless integration.

Prerequisites

● Administrative access to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

● Web services management permissions.

● Basic understanding of Business Central objects and OData services.

Steps to Create Web Services

  1. Accessing the Web Services Page

● Open Business Central.

● Search for "Web Services" in the search bar.

● Click New to create a new web service.

  1. Creating Web Services for Sales Transactions

Follow the steps below for each document type:

➔ Object ID: 41 (Sales Quote Page)

➔ Service Name: DBSyncSalesQuote

➔ Published: Yes

➔ Click OK to save.

DBSync Profile and Application Setup for QuickBooks Desktop:

  1. Sign Up for DBSync Free Trial:

➢ Visit www.mydbsync.com and sign up for the Free Trial.

➢ During registration, ensure that Business Central is selected as the Source Adapter and QuickBooks Desktop as the Target Adapter

  1. Login to DBSync Cloud Workflow:

➢ Open the DBSync Cloud Workflow login page.

➢ Click on Login and choose Cloud Workflow as shown in the image below.

Enter the User Name and Password you set up during registration and click Login
