Remote agents in the context of DBSync Cloud Workflow are components that facilitate the integration and automation processes between different systems, whether they are cloud-based or on-premises. These agents can be deployed to manage and execute workflows, ensuring that data flows smoothly between applications and systems. Using the Remote Agents option, users can connect on-premise applications to cloud applications. Users can create groups and connect any on-premises system to create workflows.

The Remote Agents dashboard has the following fields displayed;
Group Name: The name provided for the group of users pertaining to the same agent.
Status: Displays the status (active or inactive) of the Agent using color code (red - inactive, green - active).
Last Ping: Displays the timestamp of the last active session occurred in the users' time zone.
Actions: Displays Edit and Delete options where the user can either delete the group or edit the configurations of the group.
Create a new group by following the steps given below;
Click + Group to add a new agent group.
Input the following information in each of the fields provided in the popup window.
Name: User can provide a name for the group.
GroupID: Every time a new group is created a non editable group ID will be generated by the system.
Owner: User can assign an owner of the group by selecting the user name from the dropdown list.
Receive Notifications: Select or deselect the checkbox to receive notifications regarding the start and stop of the Agent.
Click Save to confirm the creation of the new group.
Configure a new group by following the steps given below;
The steps to set up an agent are briefly listed when you expand a group.
Follow the instructions as mentioned to complete the setup.
Agent Logs provide information regarding various activities of an Agent such as Name, Command, Status, Last Ping and more.
Name: Displays the name of the agent along with the group name.
Command: Displays the location of comands deployed.
Status: Stopped in red, Started in green.
Last Ping: Timestamp in user’s time zone.
Other Operations
Search: Users can search any keyword (Agent name or group name) to find the particular one.
Date filter: User can view logs by a particular data range (Similar to flow logs)
Sorting: All columns are sortable
When an Agent starts or stops, the owner is alerted on the events through an email.
The following information is listed in the email that the owner receives.
Start
Subject: DBSync CloudWorkflow Remote Agent: <name> Started
Body: DBSync CloudWorkflow Remote Agent: <name> Started at Time: <time in UTC> UTC
Stop
Subject: DBSync CloudWorkflow Remote Agent: <name> unreachable
Body: DBSync CloudWorkflow Remote Agent: <name> is unreachable since: <time in UTC> UTC
Warning Status (For select iterations): will be displayed if the group has mixed agent status such as Running and Stopped. If group A has 2 agents, where one of the agent is currently running and the other agent is stopped - the group status indicates .
Running: will indicate that the agent is running without any issues.
Stopped: will indicate when the agent is stopped due to various issues.
Agent Action: User can Start or stop the agent by clicking the icon
Once the group is created, user can click on the Get Started button to expand and configure the agents ().
The group can be expanded/collapsed using the chevron icon ‘’.
