Learn how to use the Caremerge Connector in DBSync Cloud Workflow
Introduction
The Caremerge Connector in DBSync Cloud Workflow enables seamless integration with Caremerge, an advanced healthcare coordination platform tailored for senior living and healthcare organizations. This connector allows you to synchronize resident information, track wellness updates, and streamline care coordination workflows by automating data transfers between Caremerge and other systems. This article will guide you through setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting the Caremerge Connector in DBSync Cloud Workflow.
Prerequisites
Before setting up the Caremerge Connector, ensure that the following requirements are met:
DBSync Account: An active DBSync Cloud account with Admin access.
Caremerge Account: Valid credentials with API access rights to Caremerge.
API Key and Secret: These can be obtained from your Caremerge account settings or by contacting the Caremerge support team.
Permissions: Ensure you have permissions to set up integrations on both DBSync and Caremerge platforms.
Installation and Setup
Login to DBSync Cloud Workflow
Access your DBSync account and navigate to the Connectors section.
Locate the Caremerge Connector
In the Connector Library, search for Caremerge and click Install.
Add the Connector to Your Project
Once installed, go to Projects > Your Project and click Add Connector.
Select Caremerge from the list of available connectors.
Authentication
Enter your Caremerge API Key and API Secret when prompted.
Click Connect to establish the connection.
Connector Configuration
After adding the connector, configure it as follows:
Choose Data Entities: Select the Caremerge data entities you want to synchronize, such as Residents, Care Plans, Incidents, etc.
Set Sync Frequency: Determine how frequently you want to sync data (e.g., real-time, hourly, daily).
Specify Filter Criteria: Define any filters to sync only specific records, such as records updated within the last 24 hours.
Workflow Setup
Create a New Workflow
Go to Projects > Create New Project.
Name your workflow, choose Caremerge Connector as the source or target, and select another connector to complete the integration.
Define Workflow Logic
Set up triggers to start the workflow, such as new resident created or incident updated in Caremerge.
Specify the action you want to take, such as updating records in the target application.
Mapping
Map Caremerge fields to your target application fields to ensure accurate data flow. Use DBSync’s mapping tool to drag and drop fields, or configure them manually as needed.
Supported Operations
The Caremerge Connector supports the following operations:
Data Fetching: Retrieve data on residents, incidents, care plans, and other related information from Caremerge.
Data Update: Send data updates back to Caremerge when changes occur in your primary system.
Error Handling: Capture and log errors during data transfer to help troubleshoot and retry failed operations.
Mapping and Field Synchronization
Resident Data: Map resident details, including name, age, health conditions, and contact information.
Care Plans: Sync care plan details like medications, therapies, and appointment schedules.
Incident Reports: Map incident data fields to track care events, injury logs, and follow-up requirements.
Custom Fields: DBSync allows mapping of custom fields for additional data not covered in standard fields.
Testing the Connector
To verify that the connector is working correctly:
Test Data Sync:
Start a test sync to ensure data flows accurately from Caremerge to the destination system and vice versa.
Review Sync Logs:
Check the DBSync Activity Logs to see if records have synced successfully.
Address any warnings or errors displayed in the logs to optimize the data transfer.
Validate Data in Caremerge:
After testing, review data in Caremerge and your connected system to confirm accuracy.
Troubleshooting
Connection Issues:
Ensure API keys and permissions are correctly configured.
Verify that the Caremerge API endpoint is accessible.
Data Mismatch:
Confirm that all fields are mapped accurately, particularly for custom fields.
Check that date formats and data types are consistent.
Sync Delays:
Review the sync frequency settings in DBSync.
Large data volumes may require longer sync times; consider adjusting filters to improve performance.
