Core Concept
"Data compare" typically refers to the process of comparing datasets or data sources to identify differences, similarities, or patterns within the information. This comparison can be done for various purposes, such as quality assurance, data validation, identifying inconsistencies, or gaining insights. The goal is to analyze and understand the relationships between different data sets, whether from diverse sources, different time periods, or various locations within a database.
Data comparison is a common practice in fields like data science, database management, and analytics. It involves examining individual data points, attributes, or records to uncover discrepancies or similarities.
The outcomes of data comparison can be crucial for decision-making processes, especially when working with large and complex datasets. It helps ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency, providing a foundation for reliable analysis and informed decision-making in various industries and applications.
Key Components

Item | Description |
---|---|
Profiles | The profile is a configuration that provides connection information of your Source Apps and Database and stores the configuration of Objects and Tables that need to be synchronized. One can have multiple profiles to integrate multiple instances of Source and Target Databases that are tuned to specific requirements. |
Source | Source Details tab is to save and configure your Database connection string. It also provides you the option of testing or validating your database credentials. |
Destination | Target Details tab is to save and configure your Database connection string. It also provides you the option of testing or validating your database credentials. |
Mapping | Users can select how they want to compare their source and destination tables (by comparing org id, keys, etc.). |
Compare | This option will help users search for any desired object they are looking for. It will show all the tables mapped in the mapping screen as shown earlier |
Logs | Logs will Show the progress Completion Status |
