# Unable to Create Sequence in Oracle DB

Sometimes CREATE SEQUENCE may not work in Oracle database when the replication is run. In such cases sync\_id will not be created. Hence an error will generate after running replication.

**Solution:**

This issue can be resolved by executing the following query in Oracle data base before running the replication. This query will create sequence hence create sync\_id.

CREATE SEQUENCE  "DBSYNC"."SYNCH\_SEQ"  MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 9999999999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 CACHE 20 NOORDER  NOCYCLE ;

CREATE SEQUENCE  "DBSYNC"."NEXTVAL"  MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 9999999999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 CACHE 20 NOORDER  NOCYCLE ;
