# Google Chat

## Introduction

DBSync Cloud Workflow supports integrating chat notifications into your business workflows, allowing relevant team members to be alerted through Google Chat when specific conditions or events occur. This page helps you set up, configure, and use the Google Chat Connector to automate messaging and communication tasks in DBSync.

### Prerequisites

* A valid **DBSync Cloud Workflow** account.
* A **Google Chat** account.
* Permissions to configure connectors in DBSync.

### Configure Google Chat in DBSync

Log in to your DBSync Cloud Workflow dashboard.

Navigate to **Apps** in the left navigation bar.

From the list of available connectors, select **Google Chat** or click **Add App** under the **Google Chat** icon.

Click **Login to Google Chat (OAuth)** and connect your Google account to complete the authentication.

(Optional) Setup the incoming webhook URL as mentioned [here](#set-up-the-incoming-webhook-url-optional).

After completing the authentication process, click **Test Connection** to validate the integration.

Click **Save**.

### Set up the incoming webhook URL (optional)

To send card messages, create a webhook and configure the incoming webhook URL.

In Google Chat, open the space where you want to add the webhook.

Click **Apps & Integrations** → **Webhooks** → **Add Webhook**.

Provide a name for the **Incoming webhook**. Click **Save**.

Click **Copy link** to copy the generated webhook URL.

In your integration settings, enter the copied webhook URL in the **Incoming Webhook URL** field. Click **Save**.<br>
